This is a working farm with
between 100 and 300 South
African Boer Goats, depending
on the time of year and the
breeding schedule.
The goats are
raised for
breeding stock,
exhibition and
to meet demand
for goat meat in the New York
metropolitan area, the goal
being constant herd
improvement through
genetic-sensitive breeding.

The herd is protected by Great
Pyrenees livestock guardian
dogs that live with the goats
and also
produce
litters of
pups raised to
be show dogs,
working dogs and family pets.

Smooth coat and rough coat
Jack Russell Terriers and
smooth coat
Hunt terriers
are also
raised as
family pets,
for breeding
stock and as
show dogs.
